The rubric for the paper will be bellow. You may choose 2 of those 3 weiters and then tie them together into the paper based on what their philosophies are. The basis of the paper is to develop a concrete case supporting 2 philosophers and their perspectives on education following the rubric bellow. It is important to note that the point of the paper is not to solve the problem you chose butnto argument it based on the philosopher’s perspective and why you would agree as well as the consequences.

A DESCRIPTION (single-spaced, not included in your analysis) of: a clear concrete case, trend, debate, example in the field of Education, providing the reader with basic facts and evidence (cite it! Show coverage/proof, from Education journals (more popular, or, scholarly) of the concrete thing/s!) of something that happened/is happening in Education. Example: if your ‘concrete case’ is some P4K example or trend, WHERE exactly is it happening-? What schools, precisely, are you talking about-? What people have implemented it, made claims about it-?) You don’t need to give ALL/EXHAUSTIVE evidence for EVERY P4K example happening– but you must prove/demonstrate to the reader: before I even get into analyzing things, here are factual Educational practices, debates, claims/counterclaims happening, at THIS PLACE/juncture]. This is your concrete ‘launchpad’ for your analysis.

Primary text passages, ideas from at least 2 theorists we’ve covered. Must use at least 2 direct ideas, quotes per theorist, to provide strong evidence that their ideas directly matter to the concrete case
at least 2 sources in more popular educational journals, newspaper/podcast/blogosphere
at least 1 scholarly, peer-reviewed journal or book chapter source not used in class
at least 1 relevant EDUCATION organization or institution that’s active/involved with your issue somehow (possible: AAUP; AAC&U; PLATO; ACLU)
HOW TO PROPERLY DEPLOY/USE QUOTES: just ‘pasting’ a quote in your sentences/arguments is not adequate use. Your words, analysis should start/explain some claim or connection you’re making; deploy a specific quote/direct words of an author that speaks directly to the point you’re making (it’s not vaguely connected)– as supporting evidence, a ‘next step’ in advancing your claim/argument. Check yourself: at this point, making sure that author/their work is included on your WORKS CONSULTED. After the quote, do the final step of tying your ideas & the author’s ideas together: explicitly say: this quote functions as supporting evidence HOW? It helps advance your claim that ____ how?
A properly MLA-formatted WORKS CONSULTED (not just cited!) page, after your 5-pg. analysis, listing ALL your consulted sources (even if they don’t wind up being used, cited)

Since spelling & grammatical errors make your claims & meaning unclear, points will be deducted for these. Please read over your work several times, and/or have others check you on spelling & basic grammar/comprehensibility of your sentences & claims, as a step in polishing your paper beyond ‘draft’ stages.
