Using the Garcia-Coll article, each student will complete the following:
– Provide a rationale for the use of the Integrated Model of Development outlined in the article. Students should be able to answer why the authors felt this theory was important to understanding minority children’s development and explain how it expanded traditional developmental models.
– You will pick 3 constructs to demonstrate how children’s developmental processes are inhibited and/or prohibited based on these factors. To support each construct, you will need to find 2 empirical articles to support how researchers have used the Integrated Model of development to describe how your chosen construct either inhibit or prohibit development.
– Conclusion: You will end the paper by telling me your thoughts on the use of the Integrated Model of Development and if you think it is beneficial in understanding how other constructs influence the development of minority children.
This paper should be minimum 5 pages (not including titile page, abstract, or references) in length with a minimum of 6 empirical references using APA 7th edition guidelines.
