After reading the Bjork-James, 2015 article, you will write a 3 page paper describing how the study and its findings exemplify many of the feminist assumptions and concepts discussed in the chapter. You will need to be sure to connect your thoughts to specific chapter content. Be sure to refer to content from the literature review as well as the author’s case study on white nationalism online.
You will need to read the article, thinking about the purpose of the article and how feminist family theory has been used to understand the experiences described by the author.
Include an introduction and a conclusion that reiterates the main points made in the body of your paper.
You will need to develop your own thesis, and have supporting paragraphs with solid topic sentences that support your thesis. Remember that this is an article summary, not a reflective essay. Your personal opinion is not what is relevant in this assignment.
Use third person, avoiding I, you, me, us, and we-type statements.
You may include one direct quote from the course readings, if needed — the rest of the fact-based information presented needs to be paraphrased.
The paper should be written in a narrative form and should follow a five paragraph essay format.
The paper should also follow APA 7th ed. format, including an introduction, conclusion, title page, in-text citations, and reference page. Papers that do not provide in-text citations to the appropriate authors and year will receive a deduction of up to 5 points from the total paper grade.
