My thesis is on AI’s impact on skilled vs unskilled labor. Is it affecting one more than the other? what are the positives and negatives? How does it create job opportunities and how do they take them away?
There must be a clear discussion regarding the topic presented, who is in agreement with my point and who is not.

For this assignment, develop the research discussed and completed for log 3 into a formal research essay. With an area of interest inspired by your reading of Klara and the Sun, this paper demonstrates the results of a research question motivated by these criteria:
Interest. You can define the importance and relevance of your subject.
Scale. It can be explored in 8- 10 pages.
Multi-dimensionality. There is complexity to explore and/or different viewpoints in a conversation of sources.
Debatability. The topic allows you to join the conversation and make an argument supported by evidence.
Readiness to consider opposing viewpoints. You are willing to respond to actual or potential counter-arguments.
Other requirements:
Use a variety of sources evaluated for validity and credibility.
Work with about 8-10 sources, with 4-5 of them scholarly or peer-reviewed
Cite sources in the body of the paper and in the Works Cited using MLA format.
Essays will be graded using the English department’s rubric for the final paper in ENG 102. (See PDF.)
Notes: This essay must be a logical outcome of log 3. That is, it must be based on the “story” of your research process as discussed in log 3. If you want to change topics, you need to complete log 3 a second time.
AI tools must be cited according to MLA guidelines. Failure to do so will result in being reported for a violation of the Academic Integrity Policy and at minimum a failing grade on this assignment.
Policy on personal point of view: Personal experience (distinct from reasoning and examples you provide) should be limited to 10% (1 page). If you need more, you should write a 12-page paper.
