You have two options to complete the discussion component of the class. You will be required to choose one of the options and post your response in this thread below. In addition, you will need to reply to someone else’s response with your reaction. There is no word limit to the post, but I encourage you to keep it concise but robust. Lastly, the discussion post and response will be due by December 5 at 11:59 PM.
Option One:
Watch a recorded oral argument from either the Florida Supreme Court or U.S. Supreme Court (links below). After watching the oral argument, I suggest you 1) describe what you saw, e.g., voir dire (jury selection), a motion hearing, opening statements, etc., and how it fits into the overall case, 2) the legal and factual problems being discussed, 3) what do you believe is the outcome, 4) what ethical questions were addressed and what is your opinion, 5) how would you have handled the case, and lastly 6) what did you learn.

Option Two:
Read an FIU Law Review article (link below) and summarize. I suggest you 1) describe the article, 2) outline what the question or issue being discussed entails, 3) tell us what you think your opinion on the subject is (address any ethical concerns you might have), and 4) how does the article tie to the materials you have covered in this class.
