Final Paper Rubric
For the final paper, the following rubric categories will be used to assess the work:
Content and Understanding (40%)
Depth of Analysis: Critical and comprehensive analysis of the literature.
Relevance and Integration: Effective integration of course materials and external research.
Originality and Insight: Introduction of original ideas or insightful connections.
Organization and Coherence (20%)
Logical Flow: Clear, logical progression of ideas.
Cohesion: Strong connections between sections and paragraphs.
Research and Critical Thinking (20%)
Quality of Sources: Appropriateness and academic credibility of sources.
Synthesis: Ability to synthesize information across multiple sources to create a cohesive argument.
Presentation and Style (10%)
Writing Quality: Clarity, precision, and appropriateness of language.
Formatting: Adherence to the specified academic style for citations and overall formatting.
Graphs and Economic Analysis (10%)
Relevance of Graphs: Appropriateness and explanatory power of included graphs.
Economic Analysis: Accuracy and relevance of economic analysis and data interpretation.
General Expectations:
Length: 4-5 double-spaced pages of text, not including graphs and references.
Originality: Work should be original and properly cite all sources to avoid plagiarism.
Submission: Ensure the paper is submitted in the required format (e.g., PDF or Word document) by the deadline.
