Instructions – You will develop an Early Childcare Program. Your presentation must be detailed with citations of resources.
Note – Some of you have organizations where you are handed your program and manage it. Do not upload your director’s program as a part of this assignment. Use this opportunity to make that program your own.
Reminder – You can present in any medium of your choosing. If writing a paper- a minimum of seven pages (see the APAP style writing under the Table of Content); if audio recording – a minimum of seven minutes (see the audio recording format under the Table of Content); PowerPoint- a minimum of 16 slides, etc.,

I. Abstract- Present a summary of your program overview. If there are elements you are considering that you are not using, consider how to incorporate them.
II. Interpersonal Interaction – (See your superintendent paper on leadership and use some of the excerpts there).
a. Describe staff/ child interaction regarding how teachers interact with the children and how children engage with each other. (Opportunity to talk about the different forms of play that are learning experiences with your themes and their interests; i.e., B for Bubbles example.)
b. Describe how you develop or hope to develop staff-to-parent interaction.
c. Ultimately, describe how you would navigate professional staff-to-staff interaction. (You are welcome to use video links that demonstrate your desires.)
d. Describe how you engage the parents and children in the community. (This is an opportunity to incorporate advocacy activities.)
III. Physical Environment –
a. Demonstrate how the environment promotes independence and exploration based on children’s different stages of development
b. Show children opportunities for development

IV. Program Structure – Many elements are needed to ensure the children have the support required for a quality program. Illustrate the following and other components you will insert.
A. Share the mission and vision statements. You can add your program’s Core Values.
B. Effective leadership and management (Share your leadership style(s) from your Leadership Superintend over Child Care Program)
C. Use of a curriculum to structure the learning (a brief description of your early care model, historical figure (Maria Montessori influence, High Scope influence, etc), and any digital technology (if appropriate, that includes how you communicate with families).
D. Application of Social/Emotional Learning (SEL) support in children’s learning experiences. (Copy sections from your paper or PowerPoint. If you preset an oral presentation, copy the link.)
F. Identify two formal assessments that help structure the program and explain how they help; i.e., ITERS – Infant /Toddlers Environment Rating Scale, FCCERS- Family Child Care Environment Rating Scale, ECERS – Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, CLASS-Classroom Assessment Scoring System, etc.,
G. Describe with one example how guiding children’s behavior helps children be their best.
V. Conclusion with your program’s benefits to families and children.
