For this report, students will work in teams of 4 (For team membership, students will
self-enroll in the People section on Canvas.) to identify an adverse health behavior that
has a negative impact on public health (see Grading Rubric below) (one report and video
submission per team). Subsequently, an appropriate health behavior theory will be
selected to describe the existence and persistence of the adverse health behavior,
including synthesis of major theoretical constructs. Students will suggest possible
solutions to reducing the adverse health behavior. Individual students will submit an
Individual Student Work Hours Log File that details the number of hours that they
devoted to the project, including participating in the team presentation. One submission
per team and the assigned team leader will submit the completed team report.
As part of their Project, students will:
a. Read the required text, six peer-review health behavior journal articles and
books (no newspapers, magazines, or web sites) related to health behavior
theories, concepts, and research methods and findings.
b. Include a written list of your six references using the APA format.
c. Critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the health behavior
concepts and theories analyzed in your readings.
d. Discuss findings from cited health behavior theory journal articles and books to
support your critical analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the health
behavior concepts and theories.
e. Give a 5-10-Minute In-Class Team Presentation. Each team member
participates in the team presentation.
As stated in the instructions, please create a 4-6 page analysis of the theory “Social Cognitive Theory and Bobo Dolls” and maybe a very short 5-6 slide presentation with sources (Same sources used for the analysis and the sources being used in both the analysis and presentation) to summarize what it is about.
