To write this evaluation, you must visit an art exhibit in-person in an art galley or a museum. These galleries and museums can be local and out-of-state. Remember to photograph the artwork you chose, so you can reference the image later. Respond to the following paragraph prompts regarding the exhibition you saw.
First paragraph
Introduce the event you attended. Briefly describe the event — how many artworks, who were the artists, solo show (one artist) or group show (many artists). What medium were the artworks presented in (paintings, photographs, sculptures, etc.)
Second paragraph
Explain the artwork you have selected objectively, using 4 ideas from the Elements of Art lecture, and the Principles of Design lecture. Also explain what period the artwork is from. (Formal theories)
Third paragraph
Explain what you liked and did not like about the piece you chose to review. How did the work makes you feel? What was the mood of the artwork? What was your mood after reviewing the piece? Why did you choose that? (Contextual and Expressive Theories)
Fourth paragraph
Compare and contrast how the piece is similar and not similar with other artworks in it’s own time? Please add pictures in your writing and presentation of other artworks that you are comparing with your selected artwork.
Fifth paragraph
A brief conclusion outlining your review.
Other instructions:
You can read books, articles or journals to gain more knowledge about the selected artist’s work. However, you must write the review with your won words.
Use MLA (modern language association) format to write the review.

Provide a work citation page bibliography at the last page with a reference list.
