Create a slide show (at least 10 slides). Address one of the texts we read in this course. Create a slide show presentation regarding that text. Pretend you are presenting to your classmates. In the slides, address the following:
Introduction slide–Title of text, author, date of publication (or approximate date it was written). Provide historical and / or cultural context.
Highlight important / memorable characters. Why are these characters important in the story?
What is local in the text? (specific to a time and place)
What is universal in the text? (not specific to a time and place)
What role does this work of literature play in the formation of personal identity, cultural consciousness, and historical memory?
How does this work of literature promote personal, social, and cultural expression, both individually and collectively in the text?
Why should this text be studied in college or high school classrooms? What benefit does reading this text provide?
Review the grading rubric for the final project for specific instructions. Your slide show must be 10 slides. Include the five points above, but add whatever other points you want to add, in order to create a total of 10 slides. Your slides should demonstrate your accurate knowledge of the text, as well as your appreciation for the text. Use visuals to enhance your slide show presentation.
