In reading the included articles, find the connections of experience within. How race shapes youth’s understanding of self and others, and the impact of race and identity in a school settings- in access to and experience of learning. How race impacts representation of youth in media- which then impacts society’s perception of race. How these portrayals lead to overrepresentation of Black youth in carcaral systems. The ultimate focus of your work should arrive at the connection between these unequal experiences.
Some ideas on comparison and contrast in general: When
comparing and contrasting, one usually follows one of two basic organizational
schemes: (1) discuss each topic separately, covering all the pertinent features
of the one and then the other or (2) discuss the topics side by side, comparing
them feature for feature. All topics would be examined under each comparable
feature, and the specific features can be arranged in any order that achieves
the desired emphasis.

essay to work, you must find a common denominator as a point of departure for
