You will choose and research an ethical issue/dilemma facing the field of public health or healthcare, report and support your findings. Focus on the ethical issues not your beliefs or opnions.
Think about how you would give a presentation in front of a classroom. What visual components would you prepare? Be creative in your presentation. Some examples: you may create a recorded Power Point, create a Prezi presentation, use an online software (Screencast-o-matic), or make a YouTube video. Your presentation must have some form of audio and visual components throughout.
Critical Assignment Criteria:
Your critical assignment presentation, at minimum, should include the following:
1. Identify and describe major concepts, considerations, and controversies regarding a chosen ethical issue/dilemma.
2. Current and future political/legal and economic issues as they relate to the ethics of professional practice and health care delivery.
3. Discussion how ethical frameworks, ideas and principles apply that relate to this topic. Do this explicitly. For example, explain how this action meets or does not meet perhaps, 3-4, of the moral considerations or talk about the govt’s authority to take action. These are just examples. I want to see you discuss what we have covered and what you have learned about EHTICS in this presentation. Making an outline will help.
4a. Critical examination, analysis, and explanation regarding how a specific ethical framework could be used in addressing your chosen ethical issue, and 4b.
5a. A detailed and well-developed explanation of what was learned, which includes 5b. Specific applications/relationships to the field of public health, and 5c. An analysis of relevant resources utilized and/or needed to address the chosen ethical issue.
Your presentation should be academically sound and professional, strongly supported with a minimum of five credible/academic research sources beyond your textbook (*Note- this is two more than expected in Supportive Submission 2), clear, objective, engaging, and contain both audio narrations throughout and relevant visual images throughout. This presentation should reflect the highest quality work and effort you turn in this session.
