Research Paper Assignment
You will write a 6-page research paper addressing the topic of student success. As you complete the assignments for this course, you have and will read articles about personal growth and resilience. You will use this information as evidence to support the argument (thesis) you present in your research paper along with the additional sources you locate on your own through the databases.
I will provide you with these sources. You are allowed to use these sources for your research project:
You must reference at least three of the following sources in your research paper:

You will begin formulating your argument using the sources listed above, MAKING SURE TO REFERENCE THE REQUIRED SOURCES LISTED ABOVE.
CONDUCT RESEARCH ON YOUR OWN….
You will need to conduct research of your own using the college databases to provide additional evidence and support for your argument (thesis). I suggest using EBSCO and Proquest (make sure to click the Peer-Review button) to search for additional sources.
You will need to locate and reference FOUR additional sources from the college databases in your research paper. These four sources must be PEER REVIEWED sources.

Your goal is to establish an argument answering the following question:
People set goals and attempt to achieve them every day. Yet, people often fail to accomplish their goals and/or achieve success as planned, or in the time frame they expected. Based on THE CLASS ASSIGNED READINGS and your database research, what characteristics and/or practices are necessary for success and how do these practices contribute to a person’s ability to achieve his/her/their goals?

6 Sources must be quoted in your research paper–3 from the first list of provided sources + at least TWO chapters from Rewire Your Brain+ 2 academic, peer reviewed sources from the college databases that you find on your own.
