Normalization and Choice
This week you will be looking two additional pillars in GVV, normalization and choice. The normalization pillar asserts that values conflicts are a normal part of life. You should include possibilities of these conflicts in any situation you encounter and proactively plan for them. The choice pillar asserts that you always have the choice to act on our values and purpose. The choice pillar videos explain that there are circumstances that will help you act on the values and strengths you identified in the prior unit, called enablers, and also circumstances that will reduce your ability to successfully act, called inhibitors. In discussion, you will be learning more about these pillars, completing an exercise to help you identify the enablers and inhibitors, and applying this information to a personal example

You will need to use the information from your synopsis above to set the stage. Using the same situation identified in prior units, present a draft plan for this situation. Include information on how your purpose statement helped you in creating this plan. Seek feedback from from your peers for additional suggestions or options. You may want to save this information using this GVV worksheet as an action plan for implementing the GVV approach in a real world situation.
