We are studying citizen politics for Unit II of the course. Get familiar with Week 8 learning activities (please familiarize with the assigned websites and Chapter 6 & Chapter 7 which respectively point to political ideological reference and political participation. So, how well do you know about Polls?

Second, view this 2minutes description (How surveying 1,000 people tells you what all Americans think | Pew Research Center ) . of poll survey (what one point did you get out of it?)
Third, do over and retake the “Typology Test” to assess how well or to critique how you have been categorized.
Democratic Challenges in the US (Even in a polarized era, there are deep divisions in both partisan coalitions ( https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2021/11/09/beyond-red-vs-blue-the-political-typology-2/) Please name the four divisions within the Republican and the Democratic coalition). Then take the 2021 Typology Quiz (Political Typology Quiz | Pew Research Center) Which partisan group do you belong to (that is, are you grouped as a republican or as a democrat or as a stressed outsider) and within your partisan group where did you fit?
Share what you find out about yourself (do you agree or disagree on how you have been characterized? what political party are you? What typology group within the political party were you placed in? what will politicians do to get your attention/vote? etc.) share — How about your significant other (it could be parents, grandparents, friends, siblings, partner/ spouse, co-workers, classmates etc.)? Let any one of them also take the test and where did he/she fit? (what political party and what group within the political party)
Also Compare your answers with results from the national survey on any two public policy issue. What did you find? Is there any critique you have on this “scientific political science” through opinion polling?
