A ten-to-twelve-page finished project comporting with established academic conventions. Your goal is to create a final research project of which you are justifiably proud and that contributes to our overall awareness of the topic.
[Note: The page length includes the Works Cited pages and any supplemental material you might wish to add. When in doubt, use your common sense. Quality is preferable to quantity. Your grade will be determined, in part, based on how well you follow these instructions.]
Your task is to edit and revise your Draft:
1. Edit to correct the errors noted in my comments (as well as any I might have missed).
2. Add visuals (either sourced, original, or both). These should be captioned consecutively
(e.g., Fig. 1, “Title…”), explained in your essay, and then listed in the Works Cited under
a separate “Illustration” category. Here you’ll either give the source bio data or state that
the visual is an original creation of your own.
3. Revise language for clarity, expand with specific examples, eliminate superfluous or repetitive content.
4. Ensure that the Revision is in correct order:
· Heading (to include your name, class and section number, my name, the date);
· The Title centered. Don’t use bold, underline, or a larger typeface;
· The Essay proper;
· The Works Cited pages.
· Supplemental material (optional), e.g., survey questions or interview notes.
Formatting specs:
· One-inch margins on all sides.
· Double space following the heading. This includes the Works Cited page.
· Use Times New Roman, 12 cpi
· Indicate a new paragraph by using the Tab button. Don’t use extra space between graphs.
· Keep your paragraphs short for reader accessibility, especially if presenting a lot of data.
