The Materials and Design (due Week 14, Sunday at midnight): will involve providing an experimental design for your experiment proposed in your Research Proposal project. Choose oneexperimental technique or method and outline a step-by-step experimental protocol for the experiment you proposed.  Assume that all chemicals, reagents, materials, supplies, equipment, plants, space, or anything else you will use is already provided to you. You do not have to list any specific units of weight, volume or distance; assume they are already measured out in the correct manner. All you need to do is write what you will do and how you will do it!
Project guide
List the materials you will use.
List the equipment you will use.
Identify your hypothesis.
Identify your dependent variable.
Identify your independent variable.
Identify your control group.
Identify your experimental group
Describe or explain the technique or method that you will use. You will need to be able to accurately describe and explain the method or technique that you will use. It is suggested to reference the Materials and Methods sections of one of the papers you used for the Literature Reviewproject for ideas.
Explain how you will complete your experiment. Go step-by-step! Include how you will set up the experiment, what you need to do at each step, and how you will gather your data.
For this project, complete sentences are not needed. Reference our lab manuals from class as examples of how to write out the steps to an experiment.Your protocol should reflect your understanding of the method you chose to use and should be a relevant method for achieving relevant data in which to measure your independent variable. However, your writing should still be objective, logical, detailed, clear, and concise. This assignment is due Week 13 by Sunday at midnight. You can find the submission link on Canvas.
See the instructions for completing this project below:
List the materials and equipment you will use in your experiment. You do not have to identify a specific instrument make or model, just the type of instrument and supplies you might need. You do not have to identify any specific measurements, only the material and how you will use it.
List your experimental parameters in bullet points; your hypothesis, your independent variable, your dependent variable, your experimental group, and your control group from your Research Proposal.
In a paragraph, list, or outline, explain or describe how you will set up your experiment before you begin. Try to image what you will need to do before you start.
In the style of an experimental protocol, explain what you would do step-by-step to gather your data.
Start with Step 1: and then explain what you would need to first. Continue to write Step 2and Step 3 using as many steps as needed until you complete your experiment.
Remember, the goal of the experiment is to answer the hypothesis. Use your feedback from previous projects to make sure your experiment is accurately written!
Format your protocol using the following guidelines:
Heading (name, class, project, date)
Use Times New Roman 12 point font.
Use single spacing; separate each step with one enter space.
Complete sentences are not required. Exact measurements are not required.
3 pages maximum.
Save your report as a .docx and upload it to Canvas at the submission link before the deadline.
You will be graded on this project via the following rubric:
Did the student list everything they use in the protocol? (4 points)
Did the student correctly identify their hypothesis, dependent variable, independent variable, experimental group, and control group? (5 points)
Did the student write a sufficient (see previous project feedback for accuracy and use your hypothesis to guide you) protocol to execute their experiment? (8) points)
Did the student choose an experimental method or technique that is appropriate to answering their research question? (8 points)
Did the student demonstrate an understanding of the method or technique in explaining how to collect data on the dependent variable in their experiment? (8 points)
Did the student use proper formatting? (1 point)
PLEASE USE THE CONTROL GROUP OF MY PROPOSAL and I attached a lab manual from my class as a reference too.
