GUIDELINES for ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
When working in the field of substance abuse counseling, drugs, behaviors, causes, prevention, intervention and treatment are continually expanding and changing. To ensure that our practice is both effective and current, it is necessary that we examine and integrate new research, knowledge, interventions, and methods.
Reading and integrating current information on drugs and behavior will be critical to your professional practice. In this assignment, you will select 3 journal articles from peer-reviewed journals focused on a topic related to drugs or alcohol published within the past five years.  The articles should be related to one another, based on an overall theme.  You will then read and develop annotations for each.  For each article you are to: cite the article using APA format, provide annotation, summarize and critique the article using approximately 150 words/article. 
REVIEW:  the Suggested Format and rubric below.  Use peer reviewed journals and APA format for citing your articles.  Please use library or online references if either “peer reviewed” or “APA format” is unfamiliar to you
