I need to write a dissertation that is an independent study that must include empirical evidence, and be reported in the form of a written dissertation. I haven’t done the study yet, and so I haven’t got results, so I’m mostly hoping you can write everything and I can add in specifics before I have to hand it in.
I need to write my dissertation about the different perceptions of mental health around the world, like different cultures, and then going into the root causes and reasonings, things like religious causes, even how geographical location can be a reason a specific culture or society thinks this way, for example, Turkey is in the middle of Europe and the Middle-East, so the perceptions of mental health are a lot more accepting than the Middle-East, but not as accepting as Europe. Also things like cultural and historical factors if possible, just anything that can explain and talk about the different perceptions of mental health around the world.
The dissertation is supposed to be a qualitative study, using a questionnaire that asks participants where they’re from, and then asks some questions about their perception of mental health, and how they feel about certain mental health issues and causes. So please do a section of the dissertation for a results section assuming that most of the results present that the participants are mostly agreeing with their countries’ general perception. The participants will mostly be from UK and USA for the Western side, and Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Turkey, Lebanon, for the MENA side, and maybe a few others. You can write about some other countries too without including them in the results section if it is to compare the general view of mental health issues and causes in that country, like Spain, France, Western Africa, India, etc. I don’t think there will be many participants from these places but I can add them in to my research study if needed.
In the results section, there will need to be a part that talks about the methods used and small introdcution to the study. The research study will be an anonymous questionnaire of about 10 questions or so asking first about where the participant is from and where they grew up, and also where they live now. All of my participants live in the same country they are from, so it won’t be too complicated, and you can act like the results reflect the general perception of the country they are from.
I wrote another paper similar to this on the same topic, but more focused on the stigma of speaking about mental health in Turkey, and then compared it to the Western regions, like the United Kingdom and USA, and also compared it to the Middle-East and North Africa. I’ll upload the word document down here somewhere for some ideas or inspiration or just to see more of what I mean. There’s also a lot of references there that you can use, but also I’d like some more references too that I haven’t used please.
