This is your final conference “artifact.” It could be a presentation, poster/infographic, Q&A session, or reading, so long as you utilize multiple modalities.
Take the feedback you received from your peers on the discussion forum and from me for your rough draft, do any revisions as needed, and submit your final conference artifact.
As with your rough draft, I will be assessing you based upon the following components:
Resemblance: Is there a relationship between your conference artifact and your technical report? Some information may be cut, and other sections may be expanded upon—depending upon who your audience is. Nevertheless, it should be clear that both the report and the conference artifact are related in some way.
Modality: Have you used more than one mode? Your technical report was purely linguistic, so you need to include at least one more. Make sure to really think about why you are including or utilizing these different modes, especially in the way that they relate and appeal to your audience.
Audience Comprehension: Based upon your audience analysis, can your identified audience understand the information you are presenting? Is it appropriate for both an expert and a nonspecialist? This includes both your use of language and your choice of modes.
Style and Design: Does your artifact utilize style and design to create a sleek, polished, professional (and even possibly fun!) artifact? In other words, does this look like something you would see in the real world, or are there serious issues with things like color, type/font, cohesion, etc.?
