Your course paper is due Friday, 19 April on Canvas at 11:59pm and is worth 150 points. Please upload your paper in .docx or .pdf format. The paper must be minimum 5 pages in length. It must summarize three articles, and then analyze those articles using three key terms from the readings. You may use terms from any of the readings throughout the course, although this will likely require that you read ahead. A good paper would have roughly half devoted to summarizing the problem as presented in the media, and roughly half devoted to the analysis.
Format
Many of those who do badly on my writing assignments did not follow the instructions. Here are some general format guidelines:
Papers should double-spaced, margins no larger than 1” and font no larger than 12.
Points will be docked for papers that do not meet the minimum 5-page length requirement. You will not be penalized for going over 5 pages.
Be thorough in citing your sources throughout the paper. Citations may be in parentheses within the text, footnotes, or endnotes.
When referring to a concept from the text, make sure you properly cite where you found it: for example, “As Kelleher and Klein (page 12) define…”
Please include a reference page listing your sources properly in APA, Chicago, or MLA. You may use another citation format with instructor approval. Points will be docked for sloppy or incomplete citations or references. Note: The page requirements do not include your reference page. Purdue OWL is a fantastic citation format resource: https://owl.purdue.edu/Links to an external site.
While I will not go through with a magnifying glass for poor spelling, grammar, etc., such things will be included under “overall quality” when I am assigning points.
At the bottom of your reference page, please place the following statement, followed by a typed digital signature: I pledge on my honor that I have not received or given any unauthorized assistance in this assignment.
Do not plagiarize! It will be easy to spot, given the design of this assignment; consequences will be severe. Also, do not procrastinate. This assignment requires some following of current events, review of the text, and thoughtful analysis; thus, it cannot be successfully done overnight.
Please see me as early as possible if you have any questions or special problems.

Course Paper Outline
I. Title of paper: The Unveiling of Covid-19
Challenges.
II. Thesis statement: In this paper, I will be using the
key terms zoonosis, vector, and communicable disease to show how COVID-19 has
unveiled global vulnerabilities and ways to respond to them with immediate and
lasting impacts on social health.
III. Define key terms:
-Zoonosis: “ A disease that originates in animal
populations that jumps to humans and becomes communicable between humans. Can
also occur in reverse; or a disease that originates in humans but then jumps to
animal populations.”
-Vector:
“An organism that transfers a disease from one animal to another.”
-Communicable
Disease: “A disease spread through direct or indirect exposure to the disease
from another infected individual, vectors, or contaminated surfaces.”
IV. Body:
-Article 1 Title: Coronavirus: Fear over
rise in animal-to-human diseases
-Article
main point 1: The increase in diseases like COVID-19 is attributed to factors
such as the high demand for animal protein. This makes it dangerous for society
to feed themself knowing that desires can infiltrate their foods.
-Article
main point 2: Land degradation, wildlife exploitation, resource extraction, and
climate change are ways that alter the way animals and humans interact. This
makes it so that diseases can be more normally passed from animals to humans.
-Main
point as you deem necessary: The increase in livestock consumption makes it
more normal to catch a disease due to the consumption of animals. Also the
negligence of society to accept that there can be fatal ingredients to what
they eat and it can be easily passed through the globe leading to bigger
problems including the world economy as a result of a pandemic.
-Apply
key term 1: A key term that is used for this article would be Zoonosis which is
defined as a disease that can be transferred from animal to human being.
-Apply
key term 2: Another key term that I will use is Vector, which means An organism
that transfers a disease from one animal to another develpoing into a global
pandemic
-Article 2 Title: Review of COVID-19
viral vector-based vaccines and COVID-19 variants
-Article
main point 1: Vector-based vaccines are classified into two types which are
replicating and non-replicating. Non-replicating vaccines utilize viral vectors
that cannot replicate, delivering genetic material to induce immunity against a
specific antigen. Non-replicating vector-based vaccines are more commonly
utilized.
-Article
main point 2: The vaccine stimulates the immune system, producing neutralizing
antibodies and activating memory B and T cells, This allows a layer of
protection for possible encounters.
-Main
point as you deem necessary: When a pandemic of this caliber breaks out every
second is crucial to find a solution to save human life this includes not only
making it but also approving it for the world in measures of it working.
-Apply
key term 1: A key term that is used for this article would be Communicable
Disease meaning the direct contamination from people or objects to another
person creating that global pandemic.
-Apply
key term 2: Another key term that I will use is Vector to show how the disease
can get transmitted in multiple ways including animal to animal.
-Article 3 Title: Infectious disease
-Article
main point 1: Infectious diseases are responsible for approximately 25% of
global deaths. The increasing risk of new infections is associated with modern
lifestyles, climate change, global food chains, and international travel.
-Article
main point 2: A clear message that I got from the team writing this is that
they want to prepair and better help society by making it so they develop and
creat new vaccines if needed also just to make the subject more knowledgeable
for it spreads really quick so know about it will make a difference.
-Main
point as you deem necessary: Trying to lower the impact and risk of these
outbreak desises and also fine more development on where they thrive so it can
be detected and stoped befor another global pandemic.
-Apply
key term 1: A key term that is used is the Communicable Disease fr it means
know ing where thos interation of origin where the desis is passed and spread.
-Apply
key term 2:Another key term can be Zoonosis for it means the ju ping odf deasis
within humans and ryiong to lower the effect and risk.
V. Conclusion: COVID-19 has demanded for a
knowledge and united global awareness to deais and the rapid pace it spreads
throug many origins. This pandemic has exposed weaknesses in healthcare systems
and emphasized the importance of international collaboration for effective
responses. The norms of society have affects for ignorance on the subject of
the disease actually happening to you is laughed at. Improving and becoming
ready for possible out breaks is key for there are step being placed to ensure
the safety of the globe as the future arrives.
