Describe an example of abnormal behavior from your own experience (either behavior you’ve engaged in or directly observed in others) that could be explained by the sociocultural perspective (use sound judgment in this – share only that which you’re comfortable with). Walk us through that explanation, connecting it clearly to sociocultural theory. Then, tell us if this behavior is something that might someday be considered normal should cultural and social values change (homosexuality and tattoos are recent examples of such).
Introduction (one paragraph):
Introductory paragraph–Tell your reader what you discuss in your essay as a whole. (Remember, a citation is required every single time you refer to the work of another, so cite Hooley et al. (2020) and you can’t ever be accused of plagiarism.)
Essay Body (3-5 paragraphs): You elaboration on your thesis with examples from the reading. Incorporate, too, your reaction to your learning–as you would in an actual conversation.
Conclusion (one paragraph): This paragraph summarizes your essay as a whole; it restates your main points, with citations, and final thoughts
