Thesis The course is examined through a scientific thesis where the student demonstrates that they have acquired the knowledge indicated in the learning outcomes. In a final seminar, the student`s ability to defend their work and to oppose another`s work is assessed. Suggested Disposition Suggested disposition: 1. Cover page 2. Abstract (with key words) 3. Content 4. Introduction 5. Previous Research 6. Aim and Research Questions 7. Theoretical Perspective 8. Methodology 9. Results, Analysis and Conclusions 10. Discussion 11. References 12. Appendices Extent As a guideline, the extent of a thesis should be around 60 pages of actual text (front page, abstract, reference list and appendices excluded). It is important that the amount of collected data is not too small; the adequate amount of data collected should be discussed with the supervisor. If you write together with another student the extent is 80 pages. In that case it´s important that the introduction of your thesis clearly states what each of you have done. Formalities The text shall have the following layout: • Font: Times New Roman, 12 points • Row spacing: 1.5 • Margins: Right and left margin 3 cm and marginally adjusted on both sides, top and bottom 2.5 cm. • Page number: Placed in the footer and centred. • New paragraph: Marked with blank line or indentation at the beginning of the row of 0.5 cm. • Headings: Each new chapter begins on a new page. The chapter headline is set in 24 points, the section headline in 18 points and the sub-section heading in 14 points. For information on reference management, quotes and design of tables, diagrams and figures, reference is made to method literature. The choice of reference system is made in consultation with the supervisor. Rules for a Thesis: -It must be individually authored (not with AI technology). -It should not be a plagiarism (of yourself or someone else`s text). -It must have been sent to Ouriginal for plagiarism checking. -It must contain exact page references to the literature, also to articles. -It should have a proper reference list at the end.
