Discussion It should contain the following sub-chapters:
• Summary of findings: Summarise key findings. Here it is important to interpret and explain the results. Did you answer your research question?
• Theoretical implications: How do your results link to exiting theories? Do the findings shed light on ways in which to improve existing theories? Explain how. Do the findings lead to a new theory? Explain what it is.
• Practical implications: Explain what makes your findings practically relevant (e.g., why should managers or organisations care)
• Limitations: Critically evaluate your study’s strengths and limitations (e.g., sampling strategy, sample size, sample characteristics, type of companies covered, measures used, etc.)
• Directions for future research: How can your study be improved in the future? If you could do it again, what would you change? How will that change improve it? What are some other relevant areas that future research may go into?
• Conclusion (optional c.a. 200 words) Short summation of your findings (written in past tense, e.g. “This study found that…”).
