Initial Post
The capacity for leadership is within us as nurses and as individuals. Recognizing the power of this capacity begins with a reflection on how we can and do impact on those around us.
Before beginning this discussion, please view the following video on creating Lollipop Moments by Drew Dudley:

After viewing the video, please think about lollipop moments in your healthcare work experience.
In your initial post, please do the following:
Describe a situation where you experienced a lollipop moment.
Identify the leadership characteristics of the individual (s) involved in creating that moment for you. Or you can describe a situation in which you created a lollipop moment for someone else and share your leadership characteristics.
Describe how the leadership characteristics that create lollipop moments can be applied to your professional nursing role.
Your initial post is due by Thursday at 11:59 PM ET. Your responses are due by Sunday at 11:59 PM ET.

Response to Classmates
You are required to make a minimum of two responses. One to the initial post of at least one other student, and then a response to one other student. In your responses to your peers’ posts, you must provide constructive and insightful comments that go beyond that of agree or disagree.
