Choose at least five questions (you may choose more) from the list in the Poetry Explication handout and answer them thoughtfully using lines from the poem for support. You must include direct quotes of words, phrases, and/or lines from the poem to receive a passing score. There are 26 questions in the handout, so choose carefully. Be sure that you can provide solid answers for the questions that you choose, since you must reach the minimum word count of 400. In the student example below, the student chose 6 total questions. You may choose a couple of questions to answer together in one paragraph, like the student does.

Minimal grammatical errors may be present that do not interfere with meaning. If AI generators are used, they are cited properly. Word count is reached.
21-23: Five questions (or more) are chosen from the Poetry Explication document and are answered using direct quotes from the poem, although more references to words, phrases, and lines could be added for a stronger explication.
