Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to allow you to research an area of the class subject that interests you. You will be limited to eight pages including referees. The paper must be double-spaced and written in twelve-point font with standard margins. The page limitation does not include the cover page, other artwork, or any attachments you would like to include.
You must reference the sources of your information following APA guidelines. Sources can include the internet, guidebooks, history books, and interviews with people. Place all references in a separate section at the end of your paper. Refer to them in the text by putting the author or authors’ names and year of publication in parentheses after the information you have cited.
Paper Format and Outline
Use the following headings in the paper, in bold font:
Part I. Introduction
Background information, research topic/questions, importance/justification,
Part II. Background/Conceptual foundation/Literature review on the topic
What has been done on the topic, issues, and themes, and if appropriate use examples, this section is the main body of your term paper, which should lead to propositions.
Part III. Conclusion
Research propositions, suggestions for future investigation, what needs to be done, and where we go from here.
