Clinical Reflection Writing Activity
Based on my clinical experience skills validation report called “Skills Check” attached under files, write an essay evaluating and explaining my clinical experience while performing Foley Catheter insertion last week during Intensives in Nashville Tennessee last week. Follow the instruction below to write an explanatory/evaluation type of essay following the instructions below and by looking at the attached validation check list i have provided under attachments/or files.

This assignment gives you an opportunity to reflect on a clinical experience and identify areas of potential self- improvement. By examining any gaps in your competencies or knowledge and by identifying any need for changes in your nursing practice or in your attitudes, you begin to see the incident as a learning tool. You can now identify the gaps between ideal and actual nursing practice.
PLEASE NOTE/READ BEFORE WRITING THE ESSAY. PLEASE ADD MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND OPPINION TO THE PAPER. FOR EXAMPLE, I WANT TO ADD THAT EVEN THOUGH I completed “NURSING SKILL COMPETENCY: Foley Catheter Insertion” satisfactorily, I realized that it was not an easy task after all. Specially when I had to practice “sterile field techniques when cleaning and inserting the catheter” This is a special skill or activity that I still have to do some more work on and practice to be able to master it completely.
PLEASE SEE ATTACHED UNDER FILES, I AM ALSO PROVIDING A “POST CLINICAL SET OF QUESTIONS TO HELP WRITING THE ESSAY AND COVERING IMPORTANT POINTS WHILE WRITING THE ESSAY” try to answer all the questions from the Post-Clinical Reflection questions in the essay.
APA format style and citations must be used. Also, any literature used for justifying the citations must be evidence based and must come from peer-review articles or nursing journals etc and need to be less than 5 years old.
