The Introduction will comprise the first 2-3 pages and here you will review 2-3
empirical studies published in peer-reviewed journals that are directly relevant to the research you will
propose. Your introduction/review should end with your explicit statement of 2-3 hypotheses you will be testing
in your proposed study. Then you will describe the Methods of your proposed research in 2-3 pages. This
might include a section on Participants, Materials, and Procedures (depending on the details of your proposed
study). The next 1-2 pages are your expected Results. What do you expect to find, with reference to each
hypothesis you are testing? Finally, your Discussion will cover 2-3 pages and will begin with a brief summary
of the area of research, then a reminder of what you hypothesized and what you expected to find. Then you
should address limitations of the research you proposed and, finally, briefly identify and discuss 2-3 areas for
future research. This future research might address one or more of the limitations you just noted, plus other
areas you think would be especially interesting or important to investigate if you were to find the Results you
just reported. Please include an APA-formatted References list, which shouldn’t extend more than 1 page.
