Education systems have repeatedly been adjusted to best prepare
students to take on the world or work. Curriculum has ranged from family
to religion to digital literacy, all dependent upon societal norms and
needs. History bears witness to the capacity of education to adapt and
persist in the fact of the inevitability of change.
For this discussion, respond to the following:
How did advances in technology in the 19th century transform the way education systems function?
How has globalization impacted change in education systems?
How have education systems evolved in response to a growing multicultural society and shifts in demands for expertise?
