In this media analysis, the focus is on the MEDIA itself, its power, its reach, its (potential) manipulation, the cultural moment that created this, how it reflects our values. And not incidentally, think about the technology discussed in the segment– how did our culture change in reaction to it?
These are the things to consider in your observations: What is the story? What does it say about the medium it focuses on (ads, public relations)? What does it say about the state of media, or issues like the power of media, etc., that we are discussing in class? What did you learn or what questions did it bring up? What observations do you have about it?
