Paper must be at least 5 pages of text, double-spaced, with
Courier New font, size 12, with justified margins.
2. Paper must have at least 5 Works Cited.
3. Paper must be done using MLA Parenthetical Documentation.
4. Paper must be held together by one silver paper clip in the
upper left-hand corner. No staples, clamps, binders, etc.
Do not print on both sides.
5. Do not fold your research paper. The grade will be on the
last page of the text.
6. Paper must contain three parts: 1 reflection page, 5-6 pages
of text, and 1 page of Works Cited.
7. Paper must borrow from your sources using direct quotations
that are smoothly incorporated into your own writing.
8. DO NOT use block quotations in a short paper like this.
9. Do at least 3 drafts of the paper before you turn it in:
rough draft, second draft, final draft. You may, of
course, do more than 3 drafts.
10. Much research is wasted and will not appear in the finished
paper, so get to work doing the preliminary research
immediately.
11. Due date is Friday, April 19th. You must turn in a
paper copy at my office and an email attachment copy.
12. This paper counts as 2 regular essay grades. Failure to
turn in a research paper means you must repeat the course
under a different professor.
