My
topic is ” Breaking the silence struggles of Athletic Mental Health?”, which is what the research of my annotated bibliography was on
as well.
I
need a FORMAL PAPER INTRO, OUTLINES, AND PROGRESS REPORT by April 20!! Each
introduction should tell the reader what the topic and research question are
and why anyone should be interested in the paper. The introduction should also
tell the reader what to expect in the paper: what the various sections of the
paper will be. The outline should schematize the paper: what are the sections
of the paper and what are the subtopics contained in each (by order of
appearance in the paper?)
For
the outline:
Describe/label
each section that will be on the paper and the theme within each section.
Also
for the Introduction:
Broad
introduction to the topic: Go in depth about the topic you’re talking about;
make sure it’s an attention-getter.

-Be
clear in the paper and explain what is being done on the paper and why.

also asking for all the notes that you will be using for the research
paper.
Papers
will have a cover sheet, page numbers, and a bibliography. The paper’s length
must be between 20 and 25 pages, and that number does not include the cover
sheet or the bibliography. You must have internal citations for the content of
your paper. Wherever you draw specific information or conclusions from sources,
you must acknowledge that fact in the section of your paper where you use that
content. There should be many citations in your paper because you are getting
your information from sources. That is totally appropriate, but you must be
telling me where you are getting the content. Direct quotes should be
relatively few and should not be very long. The point of the paper is for you
to learn the material, digest it, and present it to a reader. Your sources are
not taking a course with me, you are, so you should be the one presenting the
content to me. Let’s warn you about AI and plagiarism again. You must write
your paper. If you try to cheat your way through, and AI is now the preferred
way, I will do everything I can to catch you and I know there are ways to trick
the AI detection algorithm. That’s why you must have already submitted a rough
draft and why I will use the other techniques I have to ensure that you have
legitimately done the work for the course before I give you a grade for it.
Cheating really angers me and I will dedicate myself to catching cheaters and
making sure their infraction goes on their permanent record.
I
will also need to speak about the findings, what they found surprising, what
new research questions they have come up with (i.e. what remains unexplained),
and what they learned from the experience so if you can help me out with this
it’s fine.
This
is an academic research paper. You must use at least eight academic sources
such as journal articles or monographs from academic presses. Textbooks do not
count towards this total nor do general websites or encyclopedias. However, you
should also use whatever nonacademic sources make sense given your topic, but
you must have a minimum of eight academic sources in your finished paper. Fewer
than eight will lead to a deduction of from 1/3 to one full letter grade. (YOU
CAN USE THE 6 ARTICLES FROM MY ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY AND WOULD ONLY NEED TO
FIND 2 MORE ARTICLES TO MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF 8 ARTICLES; YOU CAN ALSO USE
MORE SCHOLARLY ARTICLES IF NEEDED FOR THE PAPER).
