HomeFit Sam Kim is the president of HomeFit, a company in Modesto, California, that sells exercise DVDs and subscriptions to online workout videos. To help advertise his videos, he created a PowerPoint presentation that he will use when he visits local colleges. He asks you to help him finish the presentation, which will include photos, a video, and a table to provide details his audience might be interested in knowing. Complete the following steps:
Open the file named HomeFit, located in the PowerPoint2 > Case1 folder included with your Data Files, add your name as the subtitle on Slide 1, and then save it as HomeFit Videosto the drive and folder where you are storing your files.
Apply the theme from the presentation FitTheme, located in the PowerPoint2 > Case1 folder.
On Slide 2 (“Videos Include”), apply the picture style Double Frame.Black to the picture on the slide, and then change the border color to the Dark Blue, Text 2, Darker 50% color. Apply this same style to the picture on Slide 3 (“Three Phases”).
On Slide 2, animate the bulleted list using the Float In animation with the Float Down effect, and change the duration to 0.50 seconds. Animate the bulleted list on Slide 3 using the same animation.
On Slide 4 (“Sample Clip from a HomeFit Video”), insert the video Exercise, located in the PowerPoint2 > Case1 folder. Set the movie to play automatically, fill the slide when playing, and rewind after playing. Trim about eight seconds from the end of the video so the video ends at about the 16-second mark. Set the poster frame to the frame at approximately the seven-second mark.On Slide 5 (“Packages”), add a new row below the row containing “HomeFit Original” in the first column with the following data: HomeFit Plus, 15 hours of online video per week, More options for cardio and strength training, $45/month.
Change the table style to Light Style 1 – Accent 1. In the header row, change the font to Century Gothic (Headings), change the font size to 20 points, and then align the text so it is centered horizontally. Select the text in the last column, and then center the contents of each cell horizontally.
On Slide 6 (the last slide), which has the Blank layout applied, insert the picture Equipment, located in the PowerPoint2 > Case1 folder. Crop about an inch off of the bottom of the picture, and then resize it to be the same height as the slide (it will be 7.5 inches high). Position the photo so its left edge aligns with the left edge of the slide.
On Slide 6, draw rectangle shape that is 3.5 inches high and 5 inches wide, and then position it so it is centered-aligned with the photo and approximately centered horizontally in the white space on the slide. Type Subscribe or Order Your DVDs Today!. Change the font to Century Gothic (Headings), change the font color to Black, make the text bold, and change the font size to 48 points.
On Slide 6, remove the fill from the rectangle containing the text, and remove the outline (that is, change the fill to No Fill and change the outline to No Outline).
On Slide 6, animate the rectangle containing the text using the entrance animation Grow & Turn. Set its duration to 1.25 seconds, set its start timing to After previous, and set a delay of one-half second.
Compress the all the photos to 96 ppi, deleting cropped areas of pictures, and then compress the media to Low Quality.
Apply the Checkerboard transition to all the slides using the default From Left effect and with a duration of 1.25 seconds. Then remove the transition from Slide 1 (the title slide).
Save your changes, and then watch the slide show in Slide Show view. Remember, after the transition to Slide 6 (the last slide), wait for the text box to animate automatically.
Make sure you saved your changes, and then save a copy of the presentation to the location where you are saving your files. Save of the presentation. On Slide 1, record your voice saying, “HomeFit Videos—quality instruction at a fair price.” On Slide 2, circle the second subbullet under “Strength Training” after it appears. Change the Inking options to Thick Pen with the Red Color.
Insert a new Slide 3 with the Title and Content layout. Type Quiz as the slide title, and then add a True False quiz. Type HomeFit videos do not include warm-ups or cool-downs.as the question, and then make False the correct answer.
Save your changes, and then upload the file.
