vou’ve been doing this semester on your logic of choice. No PowerPoint is required, nor do have any
expectations that you develop anything in writing in advance. simply want you so share a proposal with your classmates (and me that YOU would make for how you would want to address a research question based off the literature vou’ve reviewed on vour topic. As vou do so, consider
How vou’d develoo a theory related to vour topic
What would a hypothesis look like that is based on your theon
How would vou test vour hypothesis – what variables would vou employ, for instance, and how would
vou operationalize those variables
what time trame migne you examine when resting your hypothesis
what methods would vou employ when testing your hypothesis: in essence, what type of research design
would vou develop that would allow vou to adequately rest your hypothesis
what date micht vou need to acauire in order to test vour hoothesis
One way of thinking about this is to ask: now that you’ve started studying a topic, and you’ve begun to work a resparch question. what techniques and skills havp vou learned in this class that give vou the best chance to
answer adequately that question?
Talk throuch the above bullet points in vour o minutes. In doing so don’t hesitate to share with vour
classmates some of the literature vou think best addresses vour topic. Explore now the literature vou’ve read points you in a direction to develop a hypothesis and, from that, to test it in a way that fits within that iterature, Again. keep this informal. but think about all o these points as vou co. we’ll hold all
questions pach dav until all presentations are done. but don’t hesitate to ask auestions of vour
classmates and don’t be suronsed if lask some auestions as well.
