Topic
The general topic for this assignment is “the impact of digital technology.” You will need to significantly narrow down the topic to a specific focus that interests you. For example, you can explore the impact of digital technology on education, on political participation, on interpersonal communication, and on business strategies. You could also focus on the impact of digital media on different aspects of our wellbeing, i.e., social, psychological, physical, occupational, etc.
Conduct research into your chosen topic. Develop a well-focused research question, and produce an annotated bibliography using the following outline template as a guide.
Note
You do not have to submit the outline template. Later, in Assignment 4, you will write a research paper using this research material. The quality of your work now will affect your final essay.
Your annotated bibliography should include a range of arguments and discussions on your topic. Select your sources from scholarly backgrounds and a variety of perspectives. You will begin with the three articles that you selected from our course reading list. To these, you must add a minimum of three new sources.
Steps for Completion:
Using the skills developed in Unit 3, develop and articulate a well-focused research question on your topic. You will include this question in the introduction to your annotated bibliography.
Identify the information you will need to write about your research question. Use the skills developed in Unit 3. You will need to include a list of specific questions to help direct your research in the introduction to your annotated bibliography.
Produce your annotated bibliography, using the template provided. Make sure you write between 250–300 words for each source. Remember to list your entries in alphabetical order, by author’s last name.
