For this project, students will work in teams to create an original educational slide presentation, video, handout, or infographic about a topic in Media Literacy. The educational material should be something that could be read or viewed in under 5 minutes and with a target audience of adult college students in an introductory communication studies class. The educational material should be a consistent, cohesive, coherent product (i.e., not a bunch of separate materials squished together). Teams will share their educational material and provide feedback. Each student will also complete an individual reflection on the teamwork experience.

Topic Ideas
These are a handful of broad subjects. Within each broad subject are countless focused topics. For example, under the broad category of Gender Representations in the Media, there’s Online Marketing Targeted to Young Women, Representations of Masculinity in Commercial Advertising, Representations of Sexuality in Videogames, and on and on. Your group should pick a broad subject and then decide on a more narrow focus.
