Assignment #1: Literature Review and Research Questions. By completing both
assignments, you will be producing a qualitative research project proposal that
includes all relevant qualitative research components (Course Learning Outcome

Sampling Strategies (100-200 words)
·   Explain how you will be collecting your data. What sampling method (snowball sampling or purposive sampling) will you use to recruit your participants? Refer to scholarly sources from sampling methods (cite)
·   Explain how you will find your first participants, then the rest. Write when, where, and how you will use/post the call for participation (Appendix A).
·   Convince the reader that you have chosen the most appropriate data collection approach. For example, discuss the advantage of using snowball sampling instead of other sampling methods or vice versa.

·   Write who the targeted study population is. Write demographic information (age, gender, race, etc.). Write a tentative sample size.
·   Describe the site and population from which you will draw your sample.
Data Collection (150 words and above)- Emily 
·   Explain how you will record data as you discover it.
·   Discuss different ways of capturing the data (design of your study). It may include (but is not limited to) writing field notes, video or audio taping, in-depth interviews, asking participants to draw pictures or diagrams for you, showing participants some pictures, etc.
·   Discuss when to stop collecting more data (data saturation).
