This assignment will measure progress on the following course objectives:
Identify and apply appropriate literary terminology and literary
criticism (perspectives) in order to evaluate and analyze ideas within
literature. (CCT 1, CCT 3)
Generate ideas, explore possibilities, and consider economic, historical, political, and cultural issues in literature. (CCT 2)
Use evidence from literary texts and secondary texts to compose original and insightful literary analysis. (CCT 4)
Length/Format:
5-6 pages There is minimum of 5 pages. The Works Cited page is not part of page count.

MLA format
It should include a reader’s catch, background information (author and
novel) and thesis statement. The thesis must revolve around the
question you are examining.
Brief biographical information on author;
Analysis of one novel(I’m doing Bleak House) from a specific time period;
Close examination of a social or cultural issue. This can be linked to a specific character.
Use direct textual evidence with correctly formatted citations from each of the sources

Establish a thesis in your introduction that answers the prompt and is organized with strong topic sentences and paragraphs
