Objective:
Students will demonstrate their proficiency in writing a literature review. Literature review writing requires a synthesis of the literature, demonstrating strong, formal/academic language and concise writing. Writing literature reviews also necessitates the seamless integration of evidence and proficiency in APA style and documentation.
Assignment:
Write a 5 – 7 page literature review on a topic related to the field of criminology and/or criminal justice. Include a minimum of 10sources, at least 7 of which must be from peer reviewed journalswithin the discipline (i.e., criminology, criminal justice, or legal journals). All non-peer reviewed sources must still be academic/professional (e.g., credible websites ending in -.edu, -.gov., -.org [no -.coms] or academic books). (You do not need an abstract.)

To be accepted for full credit, the assignment must
● meet the requirements for length (5-7 pages, excluding title page and references)
● meet the requirements for included sources (10 sources required, at least 7 of which must come from peer-reviewed journal articles within the discipline).
If the paper does not meet the requirements of the assignment, the paper will be considered incomplete. Incomplete work will be prorated, and points will be deducted accordingly.
