Reflections on Learning
Before Beginning This Discussion Board: Please review the instructions and the rubric. This DB opens in Week 13 and requires an initial post and responses to three (3) peers. The requirements are somewhat different. For the initial post, only one source is needed and the post must be a minimum of 300 words. For the peer responses, one source is needed and the post must be a minimum of 100-150 words. The requirements are included in the Final Discussion Board Instructions and Final Discussion Board Rubric.
Prompt: Reflect upon what you have learned about research during this course. Identify, what you believe to be, one strength and one weakness regarding the process of research in nursing. How will you capitalize on your strength? How will you overcome your weakness. Respond to your peers by providing suggestions for improvement and encouragement for the skills that have been learned.
Purpose
Weekly discussions are designed to promote dialogue and learning between faculty and students, and students and the peers. They are designed to stimulate the dialogue which would normally take place in a traditional classroom setting. Participation in the discussion board is an opportunity for each student to demonstrate knowledge of the course content.
In each discussion, students will achieve the following objectives:
Demonstrate an understanding of each week’s concepts and content.
Integrate scholarly resources.
Engage in a meaningful dialogue with classmates and the professor.
Express opinions and evidence clearly and logically, in a professional manner.
