The Response paper is brief, consisting of two paragraphs. The DEADLINE for this paper is Tuesday, March 19 at 5 AM.
Total length of the paper should be approximately one (1) to one and a half (1.5) pages TOTAL and IT SHOULD NOT EXCEED 1.5 PAGES.
PARAGRAPH ONE: This should be your brief summary of how you arrived at your subject choice for paragraph two.
PARAGRAPH TWO: Using any lecture from this course, choose one aspect about theatre that has affected your thinking about theatre or one that will have some effect, is having some effect, or has already had some effect on your life.
Support this one choice with evidence.
“Evidence” refers to a specific example from our classroom lectures. Use only one example.
Follow these instructions. Keep in mind that the grading rubric includes the criteria called “Organization” which means “…following the provided guidelines.”
1) Put the following information in the upper left-hand corner of the first page

2) Give your RP an interesting title. This is the place to be creative in an attempt to draw the reader into your text. The title should be centered above the first paragraph.
This paper is short so express yourself succinctly. In other words, be direct and get to the point. Using vague, general language to express an idea weakens a paper.
* Every time you use the title of a play, like Romeo and Juliet, it should be italicized or underlined.
*Grammar and punctuation matter. Re-read and review your paper before submitting. Many mistakes, especially spelling, can be avoided by using spell check.
*Make your margins 1 inch on all sides and double-space your text.
You need to submit your RP as a Word or PDF attachment on Canvas on or before the due date and time. DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR PAPER FROM YOUR SMARTPHONE. We will be unable to open it.
Grading
The RPs will be graded on how well you follow the instructions, the quality of your writing, the quality and strength of your evidence. It will be graded out of 30 points. See the RP rubric below for more details. See the syllabus for information on late submissions.
