PAPER INSTRUCTION – Congestive Heart Failure Readmission.
1. Identifying 4 (four) Quantitative Nursing Research Articles – based on Congestive Heart Failure Readmission. (the article must be a quantitative research paper)
a. No animal studies or pilot studies.Not a general information study without the elements of a study (e.g., must include a review of the literature and a methods section with results and discussion).
b. (for example, quantitative descriptive, correlational, comparative, quasi-experimental, or experimental designs).
2. NO articles earlier than 2015 accepted.
3. Synthesis of the Review of Literature Using the template Table provided.
4. You will synthesize the four research articles about Congestive Heart Failure Readmission. A synthesis includes an analysis of the aggregate of articles, not the individual articles. e.g. clustering and interrelating ideas from the studies to form an overall representation of the conceptual definitions, descriptions, interventions, instruments, and strengths and weaknesses of the body of knowledge represented by the articles.
a. Use the following questions to synthesize the four articles:
1. What are the conclusions drawn from the articles in relation to your topic?
2. Identify similarities and differences of the studies. These may include a discussion of the samples, research designs, and findings, for example.
3. Are there conflicting findings among the articles?

In congestive heart failure, there is a high risk of readmission to the hospital. However, readmission can be 30 days or less. Does the lack of supportive education and non-compliant patient behavior increase the likelihood of readmission in acute care settings?
