For this activity, we will be addressing the strategic steps that ASDG must recommend for middle management at Highpoint Barnie, Inc. in relation to applying the key principles we have learned in relation to maintaining high levels of quality and maintaining an appropriate perspective (and strategic approaches) for the concept of inventory. After exploring this definition, you will now be asked to reflect comprehensively on the strategies related to both maintaining high levels of quality and approaching inventory from a best practices perspective.
Assignment:
For this assignment, you are to produce a presentation (PowerPoint) that explores a training plan for middle managers of Highpoint Barnie that will give them the key elements that they need to be aware of regarding the concepts of quality and inventory. Your presentation should include the following.
A brief definition of both quality and inventory. Discuss quality, function, suitability, reliability, and determining the “best buy.”
A discussion regarding the best practice recommendations around concepts of quality and inventory. Make sure you give specific examples and relate them back whenever possible to Highpoint Barnie and the challenges currently faced.
Conclusion – Please synthesize the main points provided and bring all the thoughts presented to a cogent conclusion.
