Over the course of the session, we have learned that in order to make a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, organizations must make those values actionable. A major part of this is continued education and professional development opportunities that organizations provide to employees. This often comes in the form of training.
You have been hired as a consultant to design a diversity, equity, and inclusion training for a small business or non-profit organization in your community. The training you design should be clear, have positive and inclusive language, and provide a connection between the values and goals of the organization and actions that support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
While you will have several weeks to complete your training presentation, this week you will begin your process by developing and submitting a detailed Training Plan Outline that will help guide your final presentation. Your outline should include the following:
Select a small, local business or nonprofit organization in your community.
Provide an overview of the organization that includes their purpose/product/service, mission statement, organizational structure, and location.
Provide definitions of diversity, equity and inclusion in relation to the specific organization.
Consider the role of bias and potential biases within the organization.
Outline three actions that the organization can take to be more inclusive.
Explain how the organization will deliver the training and what technologies will be necessary.
Include at least two scholarly sources.
Your assignment needs not to exceed two pages (excluding cover page and reference page; no abstract required), double-spaced with in-text citation and references in APA format.

How will the diversity statement be communicated throughout the organization?
What kinds of workplace cultural diversity are necessary?
What are the benefits of having a diversity and inclusion program?
How can diversity contribute to profitability?
Include the delivery of the diversity and inclusion program.
Explain how technology will be used for delivery and/or accountability.
How will the diversity and inclusion program be measured?
You will be graded based on the rubric below.
Note: Rubric stays the same and needs to be a university assessment rubric.
