Your written assignment is to submit a paper on the scenarios below. Based on the nature of the topics in these scenarios, it is anticipated that a thorough examination will result in approximately 2-3 pages of text for EACH of the following, not including your cover page, abstract, and references. You must collectively cite a minimum of two (2) scholarly resources in the body of your paper for this entire assignment, not each individual scenario. Please make sure that you are meeting all of the requirements outlined in the Assignment Requirements.
Thoroughly research the following scenario components and provide a comprehensive overview of your findings. Be sure to address all components discussed. Each scenario will be worth up to 25 points.
Scenario #1
You are a federal judge speaking with one of your municiple counterprats about judicial independence and accountability. You believe that a balance between the two are important, but the municipal judge believes that judicial independence is far more important.
How would you respond to this position?
How would you argue your position that a balance is more important? Explain.
Scenario #2
You are a judge, speaking with a new lawyer in their first year on the job. He/She is discussing the ethical constraints put on them in their job and in yours. They seems to think that you two are on the same level in terms of those ethical constraints. Since they are a new lawyer, you explain to them the difference in additional constraints put on you.
List, at least, three (3) examples of judicial ethical constraints.
He/She brings up judicial conduct that has been witnessed that violates these constraints. How do you respond?
