· The Why – The reasons why planet earth/the biosphere, and by extension humanity’s way of life, are in deep distress due to climate change, air pollution, energy insecurity and the knock-on effects of same.
· The How – How the following are dealing with the issues we are facing/bringing the public’s attention to problems.
· Individuals.
· NGOs.
· National Governments and Supranational Governments e.g. the EU
· International agencies such as the UN, IPCC etc.
· Peaceful advocators and direct-action groups such as Just Stop Oil.
· Corporations in general and those building “clean” green energy solutions.
· The When – we all know the clock is ticking, but what are the scientists saying re tipping points – what are the milestones involved (real world examples)? (50 Marks)
B) Explain why corporations must play the biggest role in helping to get the planet/humanity back to a position of climate stability and greater equality. Detail what existing corporations are the best exemplars of sustainability, (20 Marks)
C) Create a strategy for the firm that kick starts real and long-lasting sustainability approach and what quick wins, to create momentum, are possible.
