Tell me about what you have accomplished and please include information you have learned in the class. The project may be done as an individual project or any size group. The group size must be commensurate with the project scope.
Patagonia and many other companies have supportive initiatives for their employees. This is similar. Talk is cheap. Need ideas? Do something for your own company, a local business, or a nonprofit. Fix a problem. If the problem is ongoing, can you help create an ongoing solution? You can create and conduct a workshop to teach others how to support the issue. Locate, write, and submit an appropriate grant (with the support of the group). John Bidwell planted walnuts where he thought a shade tree would be needed in the future. Improve an area. Draw attention to an issue and take action. What will you solve today? 6-hour time limit. If you have more than you can do in 6 hours, recruit help from your classmates. You are leaders. We have faced unprecedented natural disasters (fires, hurricanes, tornados) and conditions. Don’t be daunted. The opportunities are bigger than ever before. Be inspired!
Please record a presentation about your project that demonstrates your action. You may have 2 minutes for each team member, if needed, up to a maximum of 10 minutes (regardless of number in team). Your audience is the class and the instructor. The presentation should answer what problem you have solved and how you have solved it. Your project will be assessed using the COB presentation rubric as well as your ability to solve an identified problem or substantially move toward doing so. Creativity, effectiveness, and ingenuity will also be considered. Please use images on your slides to demonstrate your project. Make sure to list the names of the people who participated in the project. Please complete this project, take pictures or have a way to share submit a video in week 5. If your group needs additional time, please contact me, you may have until the Saturday of the end of class to submit your video.
