your purpose and audience in mind, video record your speech  and submit a first version (rough draft) of
your persuasive speech for instructor feedback.
As you prepare, keep the following in mind:

persuasive position, but do not let your sources speak for you.  Only the strength of your voice will lead
people to change their minds about a topic.

while delivering your presentation.  This
adds to the strength of your position! Be sure to give your audience enough
information to let them know where your information came from and why they
should believe that information is from a reliable source.   If you
are emphasizing statistics, include date of your source.  If your audience does not recognize an
author’s name, establish their credibility using their position title or link
to an organization. Also make sure to include the APA reference citation in the
visual aid.
·      Use visuals to strengthen the delivery of your
position. This may include diagrams, objects, images, or PowerPoint. Remember,
however, that the visual aid is meant to support your persuasive point, so
carefully connect it to your argument and use it to emphasize your position.

As you deliver your presentation, use
the skills discussed throughout the course to adapt your voice, vocabulary, and
body language to deliver a powerful speech.
