April 5, 2024

In this assignment, you will write a literature review of the case study diagnosis that you determined in Mastery Assignment 1.  You will turn in a single submission PDF of your written work.  This literature review will be added to the SAME document in which you wrote the first mastery assignment for this course. Now that you have correctly diagnosed the problem presented in the case study in Mastery Assignment 1, it is time to start writing your literature review. This is your time to not only give a report of the symptoms of the diagnosis for “your client” but a time to extensively write about how this diagnosis could potentially affect major areas of his/her life. When writing a literature review for a case study, including information and outcomes from similar studies.  Explain how this particular diagnosis affects the individual’s school and/or work career, home activities, day-to-day functions, and any details that might impact their future.  Include as many examples and details to help your patient better understand the challenges they might face, and explain how others have learned to live with this diagnosis.

In your literature review, you will want to find research that has already been completed and is similar to your study in some way. What did those studies find, and how do they inform you on how to further assist the individual described in the case chosen? Here, you will want at least two more scholarly sources added to your proposal. Discuss each source that you find. What did they do, what were their results, and how does that relate to your case study?  This will be a stand-alone literature review that will be added in conjunction to your Mastery Assignment 1.
For more information about writing a literature review, click here.  Be sure to read through all of the articles related to composing a literature review.  These articles include information about writing an introduction for a literature review, the body paragraphs of a literature review, and the conclusion of a listerature review.  Be sure to include your diagnosis-reported research from Mastery Assignment 1. You will need this for Mastery Assignment 3 in the final stage of this project. Keep in mind, your complete clinical report will likely be about 3-5 pages (not including your cover page and references page) and should contain at least five scholarly sources.
Important:
Label your paragraphs by placing the paragraph numbers in brackets at the beginning of the paragraph like this:
Date paper was submitted (month day, year)
Title
[1] This is the first line of your first paragraph. It should be indented. Subsequent lines are not indented but the first line of any subsequent paragraph is indented.
[2] As you begin paragraph two, this should be indented as the first sentence to the paragraph. Subsequent lines are not indented.
**Please note: Labeling paragraphs is not an official formatting requirement for APA. This formatting requirement is here to assist your instructor with providing clear feedback on your work.**
